CDHA 2006 House of Delegates News "Making Our Mission Possible"

CDHA Legislative Update-  August 24, 2006

FYI: After a long, arduous process of negotiations between CDA, CDHA (and our lobbying team) as well as the author-AB 1334 has been amended.  The amendments taken will allow RDHAPs to see patients for 18 months without a prescription.   18 months after patients have their initial appointment with the RDHAP, they will be required to have an exam by a dentist or physician.  Verification of the exam and a prescription for dental hygiene services will then be required. The prescription will be valid for 24 months and need to be renewed every 2 years thereafter.
